Chana - I love your stories on the radio. As part of the Programs Committe for the Tacoma 8 Rotary Club, I pitched your name as someone we should invite to speak about the economy - in a not so traditional fashion as you do in your commentaries. We're the 8th oldest Rotary Club in the world, usually have about 200 peopel attend, and we meet at the Tacoma Landmark Theater on Thursdays from noon to 1:30. Would you be interested in speaking? Thanks for your consideration.

Hello Chana,

Way back toward the beginning of Planet Money there was an interview with a guy who claimed to have a computer model of the great depression. This was developed with Ben Bernanke's involvement and direction.

Here's the link: http://www.npr.org/blogs/money/2008/09/hear_the_day_americas_economy.html

At the time the programmer said he would know more in a week how well it was tracking the current crisis but as far as I know that was never followed up.

I love your interviewing style and I think it would be fantastic if you called up that dude and asked him how well his computer model is working out.

Thanks!

I have just listened to your sublime piece (the second time) on OTS/AIG on The Watchman. Thanks! Hard work apart, I hope it was as much fun and illuminating in the making as it was in the listening.

Please, Please, Please do more about Obama's Mortgage Program. I'm a supporter of his, but this plan is clearly failing. When the program was announced I qualified for it. I've been told by my lender for several months that I was a perfect candidate, but that they needed to wait for the details of the program. In the time that they have been waiting for the details the value of my house has dropped, so I no longer qualify. The whole process has been extremely frustrating.

I'd be curious to find out who the 17,000 people who qualified were and how they were able to get information when I wasn't.

Chana,

In a recent podcast, during which you were discussing the oath crafted by recent HBS MBA graduates, Thunderbird School of Global Management came up. You had just a couple of seconds to make a comment. You could have informed your listeners about any one of Thunderbird's top-ten rankings (see below), but instead you made a lame joke about it being a "biker" school. In the future, please opt for the information rather than the lame joke. I listen to you on "Planet Money" to get information. When I want lame jokes, I listen to Tom and Ray on "Car Talk."

Thanks and take care!
Matt Jones

Chana,

I very much enjoyed your "Anatomy" piece, and would like to write a similiar print piece. I'd appreciate it if we could discuss how to start and who to talk to.

Thanks,
